Tom Merry, one of the vendors at the Denver Book Mall has created a striking window display at the store.  Tom has assembled a grouping of sheet music representing every state in the union with delegates to the convention.  The music covers appear to hang in the air on invisible fishing line and are tied with yarn to their states on a full map of the country.  The centerpiece of the  display is "The Denver Auditorium March", the piece written especially for the 1908  Democratic National Convention held in Denver.

Tom notes that "no sheet music was harmed in the making of this display".   He notes that he had to cheat a little on one state.  He could not find a copy of  the state song for North Dakota or any other piece with the name of the state in the title, so North Dakota is represented by "Sweetwater  Prairie".

Tom, a physician's assistant by vocation and an accomplished pianist by avocation, is one of the 20 vendors at the Denver Book Mall and the only one specializing in sheet music.  He regrets to note that "The Denver Auditoium March" is part of his personal collection and not for sale.
The Muse Project Gallerie with new owners for the art gallery on the catwalk at the Book Mall, holds its Grand Opening on October 31,  5-9p.m.  The best muse costume wins an art print!  The Gallerie has lots of exciting exhibits, soirees and art events planned for the next several months. Come check it out.

Sunday November 2, 3:00-- David Boop signs She Murdered Me with Science, with cover art by
Laura Givens.
David's first novel blends detective noir with the pulp science fiction of the 40's and 50's.  A prodigious scientist, Noel Glass uses forensics to solve crimes long before it's considered a legitimate resource for the police.  He's part Sherlock Holmes, part Mike Hammer.

Sunday, November 23, 3:00-- Robert Greer signs Blackbird, Farewell.  Featuring the vivid characters and streetwise dialogue that have made the CJ Floyd series a critical and commercial success, Blackbird, Farewell is a punch packing whodunit that exposes the dark side of the pro-athlete good life.  Set in CJ's familiar stomping ground of Denver and the Front Range, Robert Greer gives fans yet another mystery with relevance to the broader culture that is still a paean to the Western ethos and landscape.
